Ferenczi, Sándor
1873 - 1933

Sándor Ferenczi met Freud in 1908 and became a close associate. He developed a controversial form of analysis called the "active technique," which encouraged the patient to take an active role in his or her treatment and sometimes involved setting time limits on the course of therapy.
