Hawai`i Fall Festival of Writers
2004
Fall Festival of Writers
- MOVING ISLANDS celebrates the writers who have emerged from
Oceania and the Caribbean. We hope to build new relationships, and
explore scholarly and creative synergies between two island literatures.
Generous support comes from The Center for Pacific Island Studies,
the Distinguished Lecture Series, the UH Diversity and Lecture Fund,
Juniroa Productions, the East-West Center, Islands of Globalization
Project, the College of Languages, Linguistics, and Literature-UHM,
and the Department of English-UHM.
2003 Fall Festival of Writers
- "VISIONS OF (DIS)LOCATION: NATIVE, IMMIGRANT, SETTLER",
linked with the Bamboo Ridge Press launch of He
Leo Hou, A New Voice, supported in part by the University
of Hawai'i Department of Languages and Literatures of Europe and
the Americas, and funded in part by the University of Hawai'i Endowment
