My
undergraduate degree is in Philosophy and my Ph.D. is in English.
My interests lie in quality undergraduate education in the classics
(Lao-Tzu and Wang Wei as well as Homer and Dante), postromantic English
and American Literatures, and science fiction. I've been a Fulbright
lecturer in Africa, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellow, and
I've recently taught in New Zealand. My current writing projects
include a novel and more science fiction stories.
