My primary pedagogical focus and personal interest
is 100 and 200-level composition--courses that
instruct and encourage students who are often new to
college writing--and introduction to literature
courses that explore and analyze ethnic and cultural
issues and the "American experience." I also enjoy
children's literature, memoir writing, Indonesian
gamelan, photography and origami. I have lived in
Hawaii since 1984.
