Frank Ardolino has published two books on Thomas Kyd's "The Spanish Tragedy." He has also written numerous articles on Renaissance literature and drama, modern drama, film, sports literature and film, and Hawaiian sports history. In addition, he has published play, film, and book reviews in " Shakespeare Bulletin," "Sixteenth Century Journal," " Shakespeare Newsletter," "Renaissance Quarterly," and "Nine.

Awards
Winner of the Louis Martz Essay Contest 2004 for his article on the influence of "The Spanish Tragedy" on Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew" and the anonymous "Taming of a Shrew."

Winner of the Society for American Baseball Research and MacMillan Award 2002 for his article on the history of baseball in 19th century Hawaii.
