I write fiction, narrative poems, and the odd screenplay. As the descendent of Irish immigrants to Aotearoa New Zealand, I am interested in the aftermath of diasporas. I have a music background. Before coming to Hawai‘i in 2003, I worked for twenty years as a script writer, editor and assessor in Australasia. I am a co-editor of Trout: an online journal of arts and literature from Aotearoa and the Pacific Islands (www.trout.auckland.ac.nz).
