aporia

A term from classical rhetoric that is derived from the Greek word for "perplexity," "doubt," or "difficulty," aporia has been used in deconstruction to refer to moments in a text when readers reach a point of indecision, when the meaning becomes ambiguous or contradictory, or when the argument presents (usually inadvertently) a dilemma.
