Renee Gladman was born
in 1971 in Atlanta, Georgia. She now makes her home in San Francisco,
California, where she edits the chapbook press, Leroy, which
publishes innovative work by emerging and geographically obscured writers.
Her own work explores 21st century urban American society. She has been
published in numerous journals in the United States and is the author
of Arlem
(Idiom Press, 1996) and Not Right Now, (Second Story Books,
1998). Juice, a collection of prose work, is forthcoming from
Kelsey St. Press.
