Darryl Keola Cabacungan is a poet and graduate of the Univerity of Hawai’i Department of English. He has written chants for the Honolulu Men’s Chorus, the Polynesian Voyaging Society, and the Garden Club of America. For over ten years he has been writing sijo, a Korean syllabic form. His most recent work is a collection of poems about the effort to gain equality and same sex marriage.
